APOSTASY

The very first sign of the return of the Lord God Almighty to our planet is none other than the apostasy as foretold in the Bible. The organized church has arrived at that state. Christian leaders are either ignorant of doctrine or disobedient. A vast number of Christians will not stand up for God’s doctrine as they are calling good evil and evil good. Churches are divided over issues that should never have been an issue if they were obedient. Repent and return to the scripture and repeat the teachings of the Bible. Not one’s interpretation of the Bible but that of the Holy Spirit’s.

Our confusion today is due to a lack of obedience to His instructions. God tells us that He is not the author of confusion. Most, in their confusion, are blaming everything but the actual enemy who is the god of this world, read 2 Corinthians 4:4. We will never rid ourselves of what is transpiring among us unless the real enemy is revealed. Once we have identified him we need to read Ephesians 6: 10-18 until we absorb the solution completely and take our marching orders from the Lord. The redeemed obedient believers know His voice and comprehend that we are now engaged in warfare as described in the book of Ephesians.

This is the only way we can overcome the world and all of its ills. The organized church is producing Christian young men who are marrying Christian young men. People are becoming Christian prostitutes, or whatever. Biblical knowledge is miniscule. Should 3% of the United Methodist have voted with the other 47%, in a godless matter, we may have a total corrupt denomination. The organized church can no longer be taken for granted. May the church become the real church prior to the return of Christ for His own. Many in the church today are willing for Christ to return but few are ready.

Standing up for Jesus,

Peter

Devotional 15 - Observing Huge Signs

Out of the dreadful plague which came upon us in February 2020 may well arise a Great Awakening.  Many have been lost physically; however, at the same time, others may be brought to the Good Shepherd. Thus, in the culmination of things we could possibly witness a very special revelation where people could be brought to the Almighty in their time of crisis.

Today we are experiencing an unseen battle in the heavens where the forces of evil are warring against the God of creation.  As recorded in the Bible are words of instruction which inform of such. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Thus we may be witnessing in our day a fierce war going on in the heavens or high places.

Our God who is mighty in warfare shall ultimately overcome and will create a new heaven and a new earth.  Finally there shall be no more death nor shall there be any more crying for the former things are passed away.  Beloved, at this time in world history we are observing huge signs of the culmination of earthly matters. Our Lord offers comfort and direction for all who will cast all their care upon Him. How can we escape should we neglect such a great salvation?

May the peace of God comfort you,
Peter

Devotional 14 - Even so come Lord Jesus

According to what is revealed in scripture, we are living in the decade when we may witness the second advent of the Messiah. It should not be left for theologians to examine but we must rely fully on what has been recorded in the Bible.
In Matthew 24:32 Jesus provided information on this issue. He referred to this event in relating that when Israel, or the fig tree, showed signs of  putting forth of it’s leaves that would be a definite sign of His return to earth.
On May 14, 1948 Israel was recognized as a nation.  Furthermore Jesus went on to explain that the generation of that year should not pass away prior to His second advent.  A generation’s time period is approximately 70 years.  Therefore we are living in that decade when we may expect this event to occur.
People have talked about this for as long as we can recall but the prophecy regarding the birth of Israel had not arrived until 1948.  We are in that time period.  Christ also stated that we may not know the day or hour but we can know the approximate time period.
The Apostle Peter left us this information which says that in the last days there will arise scoffers.  These individuals say things like “Oh people have talked about this forever and it has not happened.”  In II Peter 3: 1, to the end of this chapter, he warns us that when we think He is not coming Christ shall return in the sky!  Beloved we are approaching His glorious return. Therefore let us be ready for in such a time as this we may safely say that all the signs are appearing which Jesus Christ provided for His return to our planet. Amen

Even so come Lord Jesus.
Peter

Devotional 13 - Second Advent of Messiah

People today are inquiring as to the approaching culmination of our universe. We have not arrived there but we are approaching enormous signs as related in scripture. The birth pangs are now being witnessed during 2020. We are cautioned by our Lord to avoid the stating of days or hours but to watch for seasons. Today we discover a time which indicates the return of the Messiah.

While visiting a friend in Roanoke, on our return trip we observed animals of all sorts crossing the road.  My wife questioned why this was taking place.  My only summation was that there was about to be a great change in the climate.  Shortly thereafter we learned of a flood that had taken place in that location.

In my spirit, after having served over 70 years as a minister, I am experiencing the same response as did those creatures when a great storm was approaching.  Even folk who are not spiritual are having trepidation's in our time. The scriptures warn us that when do not expect His return that is when to look for His arrival.  Keep looking up as this could be the season of His blessed return. II Peter 3: 1-13 is suggested for your reading.

Blessed are those who are looking for His glorious return,
Peter

An Examination in Demonology

Pray for me and all those who read this short letter; as I will expose the enemy.  We will keep it simple and at the same time thorough.  Let us begin by acknowledging that there is but one God. Gen 1 ‘in the beginning Elohim’. God destroyed early creation, with the exception of eight dedicated believers which, by the way, is proof of God’s use of eternal retribution of the unrepentant. Thus all of humanity evolves from Ham, Shem, or Japeth. These are representative of all nations and peoples. Shem was the forefather of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the future Hebrew nation through whom came the 12 tribes, the Holy Writ and the redeemer of all humanity. Ham’s offspring was Cush, which means “Black” in the Hebrew, his son was Nimrod, the hunter before god, people of babble and the Canaanites. This does not indicate that God condemned dark-skinned people as this was short-lived.  Japheth’s family tree are the English, Germans, and Caucasians races. In order to fully comprehend the message of scripture, one must understand that the old testament is the new testament concealed and is new testament is the old testament revealed. For instance, Psalm 23 is made understandable by john 10 as Christ Jesus provides the commentary. At the same time, we comprehend that the Hebrew faith and that of the Christian faith are indivisible. Only teaching one by itself leaves us with half of the message provided by the almighty.

Still another doctrine comes out of the creation story, as described in gen. 3:14 and :15 that of the creation of the redeemer and mention of another god.  This is depicted in Isaiah 14 verses 12 through 17. The reading of this scripture is primarily basic but may need some clarification. We will look at these passages to better understand what is being said when speaking of another created god. The creation of Satan is laid out in Ezekiel 28 in verses 12 through 19. The full description of our common enemy describes this fallen creation was so powerful that it is stated that if Satan were greater he would be as powerful and influential as The Lord God Almighty. His beauty is far above comprehension. He was placed in charge of worship and thrown down to earth due to his rebellion.  Second Corinthians 4 and verse 4 Paul, the apostle, refers to this creature as ‘the god of this world.’ (small g ) also in  Ephesians 2 and verse 2 and in John 14 and verse 30 it speaks of Satan as ‘The Prince And Power Of The Air.’ thus our god gets blamed oftentimes for acts of god by insurance companies!  We must get the full picture of what we are dealing with. Satan, unlike our god, is not omnipresent, and what we are usually experiencing are his daemons rather than Lucifer or Beelzebub.

So in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians chapter 6, we are instructed in the means of combating this monster. in verses 10 through 18 of Ephesians 6. Some may retort that we are most familiar with this passage and some have it memorized!  However, most believers in our Lord seem to have failed in donning their armor both defensively and offensively and are running around in their underwear. Our only offensive weapons are prayer and the word or sword.  Today comes to the awakening call from him as he underlines it in this message. The apostle Paul, in 11 Thess. 5 and verse 17, reminds all believers to pray unceasingly. Bill Bright the founder of campus crusade for Christ spoke of spiritual breathing.  One must breathe out the bad and breathe in the good air. I.e., if we confess our sin he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He also gave us the four spiritual laws which became one of the most beneficial tools in spreading the good news.

At this hour, as we worship we are in an unseen battle. Should our sight be adjusted to see what is transpiring our hearts would fail us!  Even in the 1500's, Martin Luther threw an ink well at Satan who actually made himself known to this father of the reformation.  Luther, later in one of the greatest hymns of the faith, wrote: ‘though this world with the devil’s filled.’ he propounded that the just shall live by faith, at the same time others may have known this and yet were fearful in their confession of such.  In our time the church is willing for the second advent but it is not ready! The second coming is seldom heard in our time and a majority of today’s Christians no longer believe that it is imminent!

In first Samuel 3, God sought to instruct mankind; so God spoke to little  Samuel who thought it was the voice of a man, Eli, in spite of his spiritual failure gave Samuel the best advice ever when he informed him that it was God who was speaking to him.

God is speaking in this very hour but according to the author of Hebrews, we have become dull in hearing his voice of instruction.  Signs of his immediate return are most evident.  Even godless people are cognizant that something is about to happen. The pangs of birth are self-evident!  We are experiencing false prophets. Earthquakes of some eight points magnitude since 2004 are the most prevalent ever, apostasy, coldness in places of worship, increasing wickedness, the knowledge of man is the greatest in all history which the Bible mentions.

The next and final prophecy to be fulfilled will be the second advent. One must not engage in the setting of dates. And yet it must not prevent the beholding the signs of the times in accordance with our Lord providing the very generation that shall experience his visual manifestation.  We are in that period at this time! Those who have been redeemed are being given their marching orders. When Nicodemus was saved from sin Jesus explained to him what was happening. Recall this when our Lord told Nicodemus that one does not know where the wind comes from when it blows nor where it goes to when it stops blowing so are the things of the spirit.

The spiritual winds are now stirring in this very time and place. This should serve to create in us a deeper study and insight into what we may expect momentarily. In second Samuel chapter five and verses twenty-two through twenty-five, there is recorded just such a scenario.   This created in my soul and spirit the second spiritual musical composition our God provided. This composition went on the inner net just a few weeks ago and it has created a great response both positively and negatively.  The unbelievers are responding that there is no such thing as God. Some are reverting to very gross language. The daemons fought my writing out of this message on every hand as with placing this God-given message in song and word.

Finally, our Lord also provided an explicit parable in his Olivet discourse with the example of what to expect in these closing days. It is recorded in Matthew’s Gospel chapter 25 in verses 1 through 13 which clearly foretold in his message that we shall observe in these days, two distinct groups.  One will have oil within, which is the Holy Spirit and the other group will be empty.  The Holy Spirit is not mentioned in most spiritual gatherings today and those that have do not allow him to have liberty!  Our major lack is twofold. We are bereft of common sense in our churches and our government.  Godly wisdom is gone, Ichabod.  Let us close this letter with a prayerful plea to our great Lord for the gift of common sense, the filling of the Holy Ghost in our lives and wisdom He shall provide in accordance with James’ admonition. He provides wisdom for the asking. Never in all the annals of history both sacred and secular has there been such a flood of confusion of which our God is certainly not the author.

My prayers for you and all that read this letter which God has chosen to provide for us in this time.

Amen!

In His love and care,
Peter
